The Jessica Mendoza Tournament is an exciting, competitive event hosted annually by our CGSA Summer All-Stars. This premier softball tournament brings together top All-Star teams from Southern California to compete in Camarillo, showcasing the region's best talent.
Named in honor of Jessica Mendoza, a CGSA alumna and one of softball’s most accomplished athletes, this tournament celebrates the spirit of competition, teamwork, and community that Jessica exemplified during her time with CGSA.
As teams from various local All-Star programs converge on Camarillo, they get the opportunity to compete at the highest level in an environment that fosters both skill development and sportsmanship. The Jessica Mendoza Tournament is not only a chance to watch some incredible softball action but also an important event that continues to inspire the next generation of players.

Jessica Mendoza is a trailblazer in women’s sports and a proud alumna of CGSA. Her journey in softball began with our organization, where she developed the skills and work ethic that would propel her to stardom.
Mendoza made history as one of the most celebrated softball players in the world. Her accomplishments include an Olympic gold medal, a standout career in the NCAA, and a successful tenure in professional softball.
Jessica Mendoza’s impact on the game of softball and women’s sports as a whole cannot be overstated. Her dedication to the sport and her commitment to empowering young athletes continues to inspire players within CGSA and beyond.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
- Olympic Gold Medalist – Part of the U.S. Women’s Softball Team that won gold at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
- World Cup Champion – Multiple-time gold medalist at the World Cup of Softball.
- NCAA All-American – Played for the University of Arizona, earning numerous honors including All-American and All-Conference selections.
- Professional Softball Career – Played in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league, earning multiple accolades and awards.
